These are boring times, really. All we do is sit at home all day and deal with our various mental health problems; not that anyone is complaining though, especially not me. But even for self-proclaimed introverts and loners, we must admit that we usually find ourselves engulfed in deafening boredom. And here comes the cinema! Movies. Films have to be one of the greatest inventions of all time. Not only are they an efficient way to pass time, we also stand to gain a lot of knowledge from most of them.
You might have been searching for film-series to binge watch in times like this, and luckily for you, I have compiled five special series. Let’s see them.
Five TV Series To Binge-watch Today.
5) Deadly Class (2018-2019):
Deadly Class is an amazingly weird Action TV Series. The idea of the film, the theme, the characters; all embodies the word ‘weird’. But don’t be mistaken, it is a very lovely Film. It follows a homeless, disillusioned teen named Marcus is recruited into Kings Dominion, a secret academy for the Deadly Arts, where he struggles to find his place among a community of the deadliest characters in the world — literally fighting every day for survival. It is based on a graphic novel of the same name.
4) Sex Education (2019-):
Drama Series; Sex Education is personally a favourite of mine. With amazingly relatable characters and the intricately-precise approach used to tackle sexual issues, while still being very fascinating and interesting; you’re bound to get hooked. The plot of the Series is basically: Otis, a socially awkward high school student who uses his mother’s knowledge on sexual topics(as she is a sex therapist) to help other students in his school.
3) Black Mirror (2011-):
Black Mirror, although quite confusing at first, you begin to get the drive of it. Its plot is basically set in an abstrusely dystopian future, several individuals grapple with the manipulative effects of cutting edge technology in their personal lives and behaviours. A Sci-fi Series to watch.
2) The End Of The F***ing World (2017-2019):
As weird as they come, a Drama Series I absolutely love. It is based on Charles Forsman’s mini-comics The End of the Fucking World, which were collected into a book in 2013. The plot surmised shortly according to Wikipedia: The programme follows James (Alex Lawther), a 17-year-old who believes himself to be a psychopath, and Alyssa (Jessica Barden), an angry classmate who sees in James a chance to escape from her tumultuous home life. A personal favourite and one to definitely see.
1) American Gods (2017-):
Topping this list is Drama Series, American Gods. This is definitely bound to be the weirdest and most perplexing TV Show you have ever seen. The visuals and plot are so extensively broad, you would probably get submerged(hopefully not lost). It is about a recently released ex-convict named Shadow meets a mysterious man who calls himself “Wednesday” and who knows more than he first seems to about Shadow’s life and past.
That’s the End peeps, now go out there and enjoy yourselves. If you have seen any of these TV Series, make sure to leave a comment about what you thought of it. You could also come back after watching them too, I’d like your honest opinions. Have a great day.
