Video: #EndSars Protest Under The Rain In Lekki, Nigeria.

Determination shown as Nigerian citizens step out under the rain to protest against police brutality; in their #EndSars campaign.

I have to say that I have never been prouder of this generation. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would live to see the day that the youths of Nigeria would rise up, harboring a common goal and pursue it with utmost unity and determination; amazing.

Significant progress has been made; as citizens of the Nigeria continue to march across the states, to make their voices heard. Statements from both the IGP(Inspector General of Police) and President Muhammadu Buhari; only goes to show this.

But as the youths have labelled it: ‘audio audio audio’ it doesn’t really change much; killings are still being reported on a daily basis: with over ten killings in Surulere; allegedly by SARS officers.

The protests are not as ‘peaceful’ as they should be: guns are being shot at protesters, people are getting beat up and manhandled, where are the rights?

These are the rights that the citizens of Lekki have gone out to fight for. As the Nigerians say: ‘come rain, come shine’ they are going all in.

Join the fight now, the fight against police brutality, the fight against violence, let us stand together for what is right.

My only hope is that we as youths keep up this level of commitment towards fighting against injustice and for what is right. #EndSars #EndPoliceBrutalityInNigeria.
